what is it exactly?
my-VIOS, is a usb visa card capable to recognize any server or pc and download health data from it. IT IS NOT A SIMPLE USB. It stores data on an encrypted database and only the legal holder has access with his personal password. It is essentially a powerful mini computer, since it can do so much for its holder.
Is it a Personal Card?
my VIOS is a completely personalized. The card stores its holders ID records. These records are downloaded to the card during its activation and cannot be modified. Accordingly, every card has a serial number, unique for each card holder.
How can I get one?
Only authorized dealers or health professionals can provide you with my VIOS. The sales person is obligated to activate the card before delivering it to you.
How is it activated?
To activate the card, it is necessary to put in the holder’s ID records eg. Last Name, First name etc. Furthermore, to activate the card we issue a unique username and password for every card holder in order to open up the encrypted database. This process takes place in cooperation with the health professional that supplied you with the card in the first place. The activation steps are: 1) plug the card in a connected to the internet PC, 2) the card automatically locates the server of the health professional and downloads the holder’s basic ID records 3) the holder states a Username and Password of their choice for accessing the encrypted database. With the completion of these 3 simple steps, your card is now activated.
How is it updated?
The card can be updated solely through the authorized health providers. This ensures that any data stored in the card are valid. The health professional enters data in their software or in VIOS mind (if they don’t have any other IT infrastructure) and the card, once connected to the internet, searches for the providers it wants to receive data from. After the card locates its “target”, it checks for available data and starts the download.
Can anyone steal data from my card while it is connected to the internet?
Communication between the card and the health provider is one way. This practically means that health providers can send data to the card but they cannot, in any case, receive data.\\
What will happen if my doctor is not compatible with my VIOS?
If your doctor is not compatible with my VIOS i.e his in not part of the VIOS Ecosystem, he can request and receive a one time access password to enter VIOS mind. Through VIOS mind, he then can enter your data and download them to your card through the synchronization process.
How do I know if a doctor is compatible with my VIOS?
A complete list of health professionals that can connect with my VIOS, is available on our website www.my-vios.com
What happens if loose my VIOS?
If you loose my VIOS, you can inform us through our Loss Service. The main server of VIOS will then send out a “Lock” signal and if the card is connected to the internet again it will locate and record the IP address if the PC that was used. That will enable the server to send a message to said PC, which will read “Please return this card” and to lock the database inside.
Does the card’s software keep being developed?
We keep developing the card’s software constantly. Every holder will receive updated for the latest version of the product once the card is connected to the internet.
What happens if my card if “full”?
my VIOS has 8 Gbyte of available space. This amount of space cannot easily be filled. However, if the card is full, you can acquire another card with more space, by contacting the authorized VIOS device Company, to create a new card with the same ID records and to save the data from the old card to the new one.
Can I back up my card’s data?
The card itself includes a back up mechanism. That means it can export its database, in a reviewable form, so that the holder can ensure they always have their data. If the holder has backed up their data, they will be able to save them on a new card.
